"Listen to Supervisor Stevens Miller on the Grandy Group about Loudon County Holiday Displays"

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors voted Wednesday to uphold a policy that allows unattended displays, including religious ones, to be placed on the public grounds of the county courthouse in downtown Leesburg. In an 8 to 1 vote, with Supervisor Stevens Miller (D-Dulles) opposed, the board put an end to a heated debate that began in November, when a resident-led commission decided that the county should ban unattended displays outside the courthouse.
630 WMAL's John Matthews reports: "On Thursday morning's "Grandy Group", Supervisor Stevens Miller pointed out that the board's ruling now means that all sorts of both religious and non-religious displays can to featured outside the courthouse, and he's worried some of them could frighten or intimidate people due in court for trials. "Heaven forbid, Terry Jones shows up to burn a Koran in front of the courthouse when, say, a muslim witness was coming to testify in a civil rights trial", says Miller. "What does that do to those rights that are enshrined in the Bill of Rights?" Miller, who favored banning all displays, told the Grandy Group it's not just the right to free speech that's at stake. "If we let anything damage the rights that are protected in that building, then the first amendment will be one of them [that's damaged], too." Miller says he's concerned with the open-door policy, because there's no way now to control what will be put on display. "If we let the christian cross show up in its loving form," says Miller, "the Klan cross gets to come, too." Miller says he hopes, ultimately, that his worst fears will never come to pass. "I hope that the people who use their free speech rights are going to limit themselves to friendly, encouraging, tolerant, expressions."

"Dogs cast DC mayoral vote by munching on treats"

"The Washington Humane Society is conducting a "paw poll" to let dogs cast their votes for D.C. mayor. The poll was conducted Thursday morning at a dog park in northwest Washington. Bone-shaped biscuits marked with each of the two leading Democrats' names were placed in front of the dogs, and they cast their vote by choosing which one to eat. Bones that represent Mayor Adrian Fenty were green with white polka dots while bones for his main challenger, Vincent Gray, were white with green polka dots. Spokeswoman Sabrina Fang says some owners didn't agree with their dogs' choice, and some dogs voted more than once because they were hungry. The winner will be revealed Friday on the 5th annual Walk for Animals website. The walk takes place Sept. 25."

"Grandy Group Early Warning System: J. Christian Adams Reveals Voter Fraud to Happen in 16 States"

J. CHRISTIAN ADAMS, election lawyer and Pajamas Media Contributor, joined us to discuss the shocking news that we may see voter fraud in 16 states this November. Listen to this incredible interview and read his report at Pajamas Media:
"Americans are used to getting the job done themselves. Reliance on government tends to disappoint. Using this private right of action, I have given sixteen states the legal notice required to alert them that they have violated Section 8 of Motor Voter. I am working with private citizens across the nation to help ensure that the elections in November aren’t plagued by ineligible voters. If the states don’t fix the problem, private lawsuits may follow. The sixteen notice letters rely on publicly available data and describe problems in the voter rolls. Every two years, states must report to the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) information about their voter rolls. The latest report is troubling. South Dakota, Texas, Mississippi, Kentucky and Indiana report in excess of a dozen counties with more registered voters than living people old enough to vote. Having more voters than living humans tells you something is wrong. In West Virginia, one county reported 113% of the voting age population was registered to vote. Baltimore, Maryland, reported 104% of voting age citizens on the rolls. Iowa and North Carolina also reported counties with more voters than living citizens of voting age. All of these states received a notice letter."

"John Boehner: Democrat Public Enemy #1"

That's right folks, it no longer is George W. Bush, as Obama's crosshairs are squarely on Republican House Minority leader John Boehner who Obama recently cast as symbolic of a Republican party with, "no new ideas." This is nothing new, as if you click 'read more' you'll find that Obama and Boehner have clashed numerous times in the past.
Oh and we can’t let this one go. Did Obama just admit that he and the Dems would probably lose the next election given the current state of the economy? Wow he did! Click 'read more' for that audio and our reaction to it.posted by Michael Hoffman at 8:46am | link

With public opinion much different today, then it was in 2008, many Democrats are not seeking the endorsement of Barack Obama. However with current D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty trailing in the polls to Vincent Gray, Fenty is desperately seeking Obama's hand. Will he get it? Will it matter?

"A Double Standard For Muslims?"

While Christian groups from around the world are calling out Pastor Terry Jones for his planned 9/11 Quran burning, Fred and Bryan want to know why Muslim groups aren't showing tolerance back our way by calling for no mosque near Ground Zero. Double standard anyone?

"Fred vs. Fred: Which Fred Said It First?"

President Obama remarked that his opponents "talk about me like a dog" during a speech in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Monday. The following morning at around 6:30 a.m., one of the top D.C. morning drive talk radio hosts Fred Grandy quipped: "My immediate response to that is 'Mr. President, we can fix this immediately. We'll stop treating you like a dog if you stop treating us like a hydrant."
Then this morning, Grandy discovered this Politico story crediting Sen. Fred Thompson with comparing President Obama's treatment of the American people to a dog urinating on a fire hydrant. NOTE: Thompson tweeted the hydrant comparison at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday:
Grandy shared his reaction to the story live on The Grandy Group this morning:
"I found as I woke up this morning on a variety of news sources a Twitter from my distinguished colleague Fred Thompson, also a former office holder, actor and now broadcaster... he said on Twitter yesterday at about 4 PM the following 'Obama: some people in DC "talk about me like a dog". Maybe it's because he keeps treating this country like a fire hydrant.' According to our best estimate and guess, this happened about 4 PM yesterday afternoon. This is what I said on this program yesterday morning at 6:30 a.m.: [play clip of Fred Grandy].
"Now to me, call me crazy, this sounds very much like the very same thing and later on, I couldn't help but notice Mark Levin using that line on his broadcast but of course, credited Fred Thompson. All I ask America is that you get your Freds straight and that you know which Fred comes first.
"This may have occurred to him too. BUT I do know that one of the advantages of being the first up in the morning is that you start saying things that percolate and recycle throughout the course of the day. There is the possibility that you hear something and don't attribute it to a source and then use it again.
